Greetings from the Eparchy of St Thomas the Apostle, Melbourne!
We would be completing two years since the establishment of the Eparchy on 25 March 2016, the Feast of the Annunciation. To celebrate this joyful occasion, a Bible Convention will be conducted on 24-26 September 2016, by Fr Dominic Valanmanal of the Marian Retreat Centre, Anakkara, and conclude with an anniversary meeting at St George’s College, 100 Badgally Road, Campbelltown, NSW.
A full program of this event will soon be available from the chancery. I invite you all to join us for the anniversary celebrations, especially the Bible Convention, with great enthusiasm and a heart of gratitude to God.

Three Days Residential Couples Retreat led by Fr Dominic Valanmanal & Team
Dear Rev Fathers and community members,
To commemorate the second anniversary of the establishment of our Eparchy and as part of New Evangelization, Bishop Bosco organizing couples’ three days growth retreat. The New Evangelization calls each of us to deepen our faith, believe in the Gospel message and go forth to proclaim the Gospel. The focus of the New Evangelization calls all Catholics to be evangelized and then go forth to evangelize. In a special way, the New Evangelization is focused on:
1. Relationship with his Church, and knowledge of the faith.
2. Worship: Inspiring confidence in the gospel and the teachings of the faith expressed in a vibrant community and sacramental life, most intensively in the Eucharist and Penance, but also through Marriage and greater appreciation of the family as the domestic church.
3. Witness: Strengthening of our understanding of the Christian vocation lived through a public witness to Jesus Christ and to the life and dignity of the human person where believers, living out their vocation to be witnesses, affirm the freedom of religion and work to transform society through living and sharing their faith in Jesus Christ and giving recognition to the life and dignity of the human person.
Our Eparchy is launching Australia wide spiritual growth process through retreats, classes, vigils and empowerment of family units for Syro-Malabar communities. This retreat hopefully would help us to develop a nationwide team of volunteers to lead prayer movements. Thus the new evangelization happens within our Eparchy which is the top priority of our Pastoral plan. This is open for Syro-Malabar couples from all over Australia.
